In 1985, brothers Henryk and Bogusław Popiela began the production of kayaks in the backyard garage. The idea to start a business was born out of love for sport, because both of them were competitors and members of the Polish National Team in mountain kayaking. During training camps in Sweden they got acquainted with the coach of the local team who showed them his factory producing floating equipment. That’s where they got to know with plastic processing techniques and they decided to start their own business in Poland.
On August 19, 1985 the brothers registered their business activity as a civil company called Craft Plant. Along with the ongoing development of the company, it was given the name PPHU CENTRUM s.c. Then it was transformed from a civil partnership into a public one.
At the same time, when launching commercial activities in the industry the limited liability company was established. In 2002, both companies were merged and called PPHU CENTRUM sp. z o.o. which remains in force to this day.
The CENTRUM company is a company with 100% own Polish capital, which today cooperates with over a hundred companies in the country and abroad. These are well-known producer brands and the largest distribution networks for which the CENTRUM company produces a wide range of high-quality products from the sanitary industry.

The company has 5 logistically well-organized production facilities located in the Lesser Poland and Subcarpathia regions. Our factories are located at short distances, which greatly facilitates logistic and communication processes.
This is the first plant of the CENTRUM company, which dates back to 1988.
It manufactures acrylic thermoformes for bathtubs and shower trays.
The plant in Skołyszyn is responsible for the production of laminated bathtubs, shower trays and panels. In addition, the plant produces bathtubs with a hydromassage system.
The plant in Nawojowa deals with the production of shower trays, washbasins and bathtubs made of marble conglomerate and acrylic products.
Both plants in Jasło manufacture products made of marble and granite conglomerate, acrylic products and deal with the combined technology production – a conglomerate with an acrylic surface.
One of the strategic goals of the company is to increase sales of Polish products with quality adapted to the client’s needs on foreign markets.
